Role Requirements:

• Minimum of at least one year’s experience as a carer
• NVQ (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care is desired but not essential
• To provide quality care for people in their own homes
• Due to nature of the job, driving is essential for this role
• A caring nature and passion to make a real difference to someone’s life
• Great communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team supporting each other when necessary
• Flexibility, reliability, hard work and honesty

Role Responsibilities:

• Personal care
• Companionship and communication
• Building relationships with service users and their families
• Food preparation
• Light household chores
• Shopping or ordering food deliveries
• Assist with medication
• Laundry
• Take service user out for local trips
• Engage with service users’ pastimes and hobbies
• Support care workers in their development by conducting supervisions and spot checks
• Support Supervisors in managing the day-to-day running of the business
