About the role

We are currently looking for Engineering Technician to be part of Ocado history, joining our state-of-the-art Customer Fulfilment Centre in Bicester, Oxfordshire. As an Engineering Technician, you will play an important part in supporting the operation, by providing first response to engineering fault conditions, reactive and planned maintenance activities as well as proactive improvement works within our state-of-the-art automated CFC.

Working at height and using a variety of access equipment, you will diagnose equipment breakdowns and resolve issues in a timely manner, completing repairs where possible. You will handle the Computerised Maintenance Management System, maintaining accurate data records to meet Engineering KPIs. You will support the Engineering team in analysing engineering failures and finding solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment performance by working closely with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments.

You will work a shift pattern to support our 24/7 operation, consisting of 12 -hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends.

About you

Some technical ability relating to automation hardware and software would be preferred but training is given, ideally with some experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance. An engineering qualification would be great. An organised, capable team player with excellent communication skills will be key to your success. There is working at height involved, so you will need to be comfortable with that.
