Warehouse Operative - Days

Hoddesdon Depot is one of two Oliver Kay depots providing a fresh and chilled offering to its own and Bidfood customers. We make over 1,500 deliveries to our customers each week, we have a number of teams who work together to deliver service excellence to our customers every day. Acting as a hub, the depot also supplies Bidfood wholesale sites with goods overnight.

Our mission is to deliver service excellence so everything we do has our customers at heart. We operate a seven day telesales, stock and warehouse operation and offer a six-day delivery service to our clients.

We have a number of opportunities within our highly efficient warehouse and as part of our team you’ll fill an essential role in helping us achieve our targets by delivering the right products to our customers on time.

Your duties will meet the operational needs of our warehouse. These can range from working on inbound deliveries, replenishing stock, picking and loading food products and checking off orders against pick sheet requirements.

Ideally, you’ll have food warehousing and distribution experience and you must be fit and healthy, as the role requires you to be able to lift objects of up to 20 kilogrammes. A reach truck or FLT licence is desired but not essential.

You’ll need to be up to date and compliant with all health & safety and food hygiene legislation. You’ll be used to working to targets and will have an accurate and methodical approach to your work.
