Experienced Exam Invigilators Needed For Mocks (Newham)

Principal Education is supporting secondary schools in Newham during their mock invigilation season, we are aggressively recruiting now for experienced invigilators. We will provide invigilation training if needed for new coming staff.

We require consistency for our clients and so you should be able to work a mixture of full day and half days as specified.

We expect our invigilators to represent Principal Education to the highest standard, by administering all rules set by the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualification) board.

Who can apply?

Experienced Invigilators, Teachers, School Administrators, Teaching Assistants, and Cover supervisors who have classroom or school-based experience in a mainstream school or college.

Sadly, if you have no previous mainstream school experience and you haven’t invigilated before we will be unable to offer you bookings at this time.

Successful candidates’ responsibilities include: –

• Ensuring all candidates have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities
• Ensuring the security of the examination before, during and after the examination
• Preventing possible candidate malpractice
• Preventing possible administrative failures
• Liaising with the examination officer and senior invigilator

You must have a recent DBS or a DBS on the update service to apply, if you need to process a new one we can facilitate this at your expense.

Hours of work

Bookings are usually issued in blocks of hours either for the morning session, the afternoon, or a full day, for most clients we are issuing bookings between 8AM and 4PM. These could be a combination of full and half days, please ensure you are able to commit to these times before applying as there is no flexibility and we will need consistency on applicants across both the full and half days to ensure a smooth operation.
