Salary: £7,617.40 per annum (£23,487 Full Time Equivalent)
Working hours: 12 hours per week
Work location: Arun and Chichester District of West Sussex
Terms: 2 year fixed term contract
Due to the nature of the work this post has a genuine occupational requirement to be open to females only and is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1
The Child Support Worker provides vital therapeutic support to children and young people affected by domestic abuse by incorporating a range of activities in both individual and group sessions within our refuge provision. They will work in partnership with the mothers to ensure that children’s needs are clearly identified and appropriate support plans are drawn up. The child support worker will advocate on behalf of the children and young people with relevant agencies to ensure that their health, educational and social needs are met.
