Role Overview & Responsibilities
THE ROLE
In this role you will have the opportunity to take part in various, production-based tasks such as preparing canvases, applying colour theory and painting under guidelines. Experience with fabrication, sharp accuracy and ability to follow precise instruction are essential for this role. It involves working independently or as part of the wider team under supervisor direction.
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate will be confident using a variety of tools and experience with using various paint mediums – acrylics, enamels, oils, etc., with some ability to paint accurate detail. A wide knowledge of techniques is essential, including excellent drawing skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly candidate with strong problem-solving skills , can think commercially and work to deadlines. Someone who is self-motivated and has the ability to maintain efficient painting performance over lengthy projects.
THE SKILLS
Candidates should hold a diploma or equivalent in the Arts or Graphics background. The ability to work accurately and with care (painting, drawing, measuring, etc.) is a must. Experience with fabrication, installations and all areas of art – handling 2D works, including confident use with power tools, is a bonus.
