AIM: Transform high-quality ingredients into our founder chefs’ innovative dishes through
preparing, cooking and plating/packaging food items within the restaurant.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, breads, whips, beats, maintains holding temperature, fries and sautés according to recipe.
- Plates menu items along with appropriate garnish.
- To remain calm, composed and in control, even in unusual situations and foster and help build a positive working environment.
- To be attentive to service details and product quality and follow guidance as provided by the Head Chef, Sous Chef or manager on duty.
- To ensure a safe workplace by identifying hazards and taking corrective action.
- To ensure that the kitchen area is cleaned throughout the day.
- To be knowledgeable in the proper use of all equipment
- To ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation by:
- Complying with all statutory regulations and best practices such as First In, First Out (FIFO) and clean as you go.
- Ensuring proper food storage and handling techniques are utilised by all the kitchen team members
- Ensuring that grooming standards are kept as per employee handbook
- To undertake any training as required by legislation, the Company or line manager.
- Additional responsibilities in absence of line manager or senior employee.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned including working in a different department or restaurant, than usually assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of fresh food cooking.
- Ability to cook to specs and brand standards.
- A passion for food and beverage.
- An ambassador for Sessions and its brands.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Willingness to be flexible and support multiple teams.
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting.
- Ability to work with commercial equipment including stand mixers, ovens, torches, etc.
- Fluent in English.
- Right to work in the UK.
