Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner will:
Work within the IAPT service to offer high quality evidence-based interventions within the stepped care model for people with common mental health problems such as Anxiety and Depression. Whilst also incorporating the LTC pathways the service is commissioned to work with.
Support GPs and other health care professionals in primary and secondary care teams to help manage patients with Depression or Anxiety and the LTC pathways the service is commissioned to work with.
Offer supervision and professional and practical support to PWP colleagues of varying experience (including PWP Trainees) within the IAPT service.
Offer expert support; clinical guidance and leadership as needed to other PWP colleagues requiring support or when dealing with suitability or difficult clinical situations.
