Student Adviser
We are looking for a Student Adviser to act as an initial point of contact for students and other stakeholders in providing information, advice and guidance on all aspects of student life and wellbeing, including responding to critical incidences. You will deliver a high standard of customer service whilst working closely with academic Schools, other Professional Services and external stakeholders and continuously look to enhance and improve the student experience.

Working in a busy student-facing environment, as a Student Adviser you will be providing information, advice and guidance to students on a range of areas from academic support to pastoral guidance. We are seeking a well-organised individual(s) with a good eye for detail who can deliver high standards of support and problem-solving to the student community at the University. You will be able to work on several tasks concurrently, work to tight deadlines, and contribute to the identification and implementation of changes and enhancements to working practices. You will at times work with students who require wellbeing support. This will include providing them with practical support, and referring them to other specialist advisers.
An excellent communicator, you will be able to build up professional working relationships with internal colleagues and external agencies, and be confident in dealing with crisis situations. Experience in supporting people with mental health difficulties would be advantageous.
