Swansea Bay University Health Board is in the process of redesigning community services as part of the patient step up/step down pathways to maximise safe and effective patient care in their own homes. This will act to reduce avoidable hospital admissions and facilitate early patient discharge through the introduction of Cluster Virtual Wards. The virtual wards will have multi-professional input from Consultants, GPs, nurses and a wealth of other health and social care staff.

The role of the Administrator will be to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Clinical Manager and wider cluster virtual ward team. This includes general administrative support, arranging meetings, coordinating information, preparation of the virtual ward board round register, minute taking, data entry on multiple digital systems, generation of daily work lists for clinical staff and regular routine audits. The post holder is required to communicate and liaise with staff and members of partner organisations, produce work to deadlines whilst ensuring compliance with Health Board policies. This is a key supporting role in the effective running of the virtual ward team.

We are a very friendly Multidisciplinary team, who offer great support to each team member whilst working to the values set out by SBUHB.

The post holder will need to have the ability to prioritise their own workload, have excellent interpersonal skills, be adaptable to the needs of the virtual ward service and have a positive, friendly and helpful attitude. The successful candidate will join a well-established Cluster team and will be provided with support and encouragement to develop in this role.
