Role Overview & Responsibilities

An opportunity has arisen within the HSDU Department at Singleton Hospital for an Assistant Technical Officer.

The Assistant Technical Officer will be responsible for planning their workload with supervision.

You must have a flexible approach to the needs of the service and be able to work as part of a team in order to organise own activities. You will work in an area with moderate to intense physical activity, with consistent production demands required, work under pressure and the ability to concentrate for long periods of time as these are essential to the post. This role involves communicating and liaising with all users of the service and colleagues.

The successful candidate will join a team of skilled technicians involved in the decontamination and sterilisation of reusable medical devices.

Shifts patterns will include any of the following: -Morning , Afternoon & Evening shifts, Weekend and Bank Holidays on rotation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
