About the role:
FireFit Hub is a state-of-the-art world class facility for young people and the community, delivering a range of youth work programmes and interventions. We are currently seeking a Youth Worker - who can deliver a high-quality varied programme within a group and one-to-one offering tailored support to meet the needs of young people.
Your main responsibilities will include:
To facilitate and deliver of a wide range of activities including but not limited to sports, arts and craft, outdoor games, music & dance. Support members to achieve their potential. Introduce any new potential members to existing members, complete inductions and ensure all relevant paperwork is completed.- To engage with young people in planned structured programme of activities, adopting a safe and inclusive approach whilst remaining vigilant to any potential safeguarding issues ensuring that the correct reporting procedures are followed. Highlighting issues to the management team if there are any concerns.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant Youth Work Qualification or Experience of working with young people.
- Experience of working with young people and evidence of understanding young people’s development needs and the issues important to them.
- Ability to communicate and respond to the changing needs of young people.
