Trainee Survey CAD Technician

ROLE: JUNIOR CAD TECHNICIAN / TRAINEE SURVEY CAD TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: Northwest Leicestershire, East Midlands. HOURS: Monday to Friday

As a Trainee Surveying CAD Technician, you will be working as part of a small, friendly team of Land and Building Surveyors, producing CAD drawings, accurate floor plans, elevations and sections using AutoCAD. Data may be collected using 3D laser scanning data, point clouds, Leica Cyclone, FARO Scene, Leica Cloudworx. Full training will be given on data management and deliverables.

You will ideally have a recent HNC/ HND/ Degree in Construction and Built / Building Studies / Architectural Surveying / Building Design / Land and Geomatics or a similar discipline. You will be IT Literate with an aptitude for CAD design and at least 1-2 years’ experience using AutoCAD.

As a Junior Survey CAD Technician, you will have Geospatial knowledge, excellent communication skills, good attention to detail, a strong commercial awareness and the ability to learn quickly.

If you are interested in developing your surveying skills, there is the potential to cover all aspects of surveying including Topographic Surveys, Building Information Modelling, 3D Laser Scanning, Utility Mapping and Measured Surveys.
