Join the University of Bath's growing Department of Development and Alumni Relations as our Database Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a database 'super user', taking a leading role in ensuring the database meets the needs of all stakeholders and can effectively drive the success of the department.

About the role

The department has recently been through some considerable changes, with significant investment in the team and a new senior leadership structure in place, making it an exciting time to join and be part of a new chapter in the University's philanthropic journey.

As the Database Officer, you will work as part of a database team to ensure that data relating to University alumni, friends and supporters is accurate and comprehensive.

You will be responsible for delivering key elements of the annual database plan such as important data imports and exports, segmenting data for campaigns and communications, and ensuring data is up to date for reporting.

You will lead on ensuring other database users receive comprehensive training and will be responsible for resolving or escalating their queries and requests. The quality of the database is instrumental in the University's ability to meet goals and raise funds, and this makes for a very rewarding role where you will see the immediate impact of your work.

This is a permanent, full time position working 36.5 hours per week.

About you

You will enjoy working with databases, and will ideally have experience using Raiser's Edge. Be able to perform routine duties to keep data accurate and support data integrity, and you will also relish the opportunity to identify opportunities to improve the way we manage our data and will take a leading role in implementing changes.

Have good interpersonal skills and will provide excellent customer service to database users and other stakeholders. You will possess a sound understanding of all relevant data protection legislation and will be able to operationalise best practice in your day to day work.

For an informal discussion about the role contact Laura Underwood on lu226@bath.ac.uk, however please submit your application and CV through the university website.
