Role Overview & Responsibilities

Following a successful funding application within the European HIPPOCRATES programme, a Clinical Study Administrative Coordinator is sought to facilitate the set up and running of the HPOS trial, an important study looking to follow 25,000 patients across Europe with psoriasis to investigate predictors for the development of psoriatic arthritis. You will be based within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) at the Botnar Research Centre, Oxford.
As Clinical Trials Administrative Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the Trial Manager leading the study to facilitate the successful delivery of the clinical study to time and target. You will be responsible for the smooth coordination of activity such as site set up and data submission/checks with minimal supervision, as well as maintaining the Trial Master File and dealing with trial queries (with support from senior staff where appropriate). You will be responsible for planning and organising your own workload to meet current priorities – this will include occasional travel to sites and external meetings.
You will be educated to at least A-Level standard (or hold equivalent qualifications/experience). You will have proven administrative, communication, and data entry skills (including a strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel), as well as evidenced ability to maintain and follow accurate, detailed records and instructions. An understanding of data protection and other statutory requirements, and previous experience with clinical research and data management is desirable.
This is a full-time fixed-term appointment until 30/06/2026. A part time appointment with a minimum of 0.7 FTE will be considered.
A lower grade offer may be made (Grade 4: £23,715 – £27,131 p.a.) with commensurate reduction in responsibilities (and amendment in job title to Clinical Trials Assistant) if a suitable candidate cannot be found to fill the Grade 5 position.)
The closing date for this position is 12 noon on Tuesday 04 April. You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
