VANTA Staffing are the exclusive staffing partner to a phenomenal company who provide a critical re-manufacturing service to the automotive industry.

Due to recent contractual wins, we are assisting them to strengthen their manufacturing team.

The successful Machine Operative duties will include;

• Working in a sterile, clean engineering workshop, you will be responsible for setting up and manipulating various industry specific machines to manufacture / refurbish OEM parts used in vehicles & plant machinery (full training provided)
• Work to current standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
• Ad-here to all workshop SOP’s and co’ health and safety procedures
• Communicate with team leaders, managers and clients to ensure streamlined production
• Update and manage their computer systems (full training provided)
• Quality Check all finished items pointing out errors or areas for improvement
• Hours of work, Monday to Friday, earlies & lates. - Typical starts, 5:45am – 2pm & 1:45pm – 10pm

This would be an ideal role for a technically minded individual who has aspirations to work in Engineering or with a manufacturing specialist.

Required experience & characteristics;

• At least 1 years’ experience in a technical, operational role (Assemblers, Mechanics, Engineers & Technicians are highly desirable)Methodical & practical thinker
• Strong communication and confident to point out mistakes
• Live within commutable distance to Madejski Stadium, Reading
• Reliable & conscientious
• Courteous, polite & professional

Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
